The link in the first popup opens the support document with Egypt as region, the second opens the same document with the US as region. (Curious and probably irrelevant detail: the Boot Camp Assistant shows two similar error popups in quick succession, both with a link to learn more. I let it, and then, after waiting to download the Boot Camp Drivers, it gives me the error described in support document entitled "If Boot Camp Assistant says that your disk could not be partitioned".

So far so good.īut when I was trying to install the latest version of Windows 10 via Boot Camp Assistant, it started by wanting to remove the existing windows partition. was using the latest Mojave with a BOOTCAMP partition, upgraded to macOS 10.15 (Catalina), and then installed it from scratch, just to make sure I had a clean slate.

I have reinstalled (fresh installation) of the Mac OS X 10.13 already 3 times (as recommended in some of the community feedback)īoot Camp Assistant says that "your disk could not be partitioned" in macOS 10.15 (Catalina) Just decided to clean up my computer and reinstall everything. Then went back to TERMINAL and used the disk and disk and got an error on partition 4 as this partition does not exist or it is toot big. I tried to format it (partition 4), and still shows me GPT error. When I create the partition and reboot my machine using "OPTION" key down to get access to my bootable DVD the Windows installation disk began but then when I get to the option of which drive to install, tells me an error regarding GPT. So I decided to create a partition with 1T for my BootCamp (created many times as ExFat, MS-DOS (FAT32), MacOS journaled non-encrypted) with all the previous types and nothing. I am trying to install Windows without using the BootCamp Assistant because it just gives me the option to download files and nothing else (and still getting that annoying message about the partition). I have followed many on these explanations here in the community regarding this error that seems it is very common (I had already two other iMacs 27" and MacBook installed Windows 7 without any problem like this one!).

I cannot install BOOT CAMP on my Mac Pro (2009) Hi there! I am trying to install windows 7Ultimate (because that's the only DVD with original copy I have on my own) on my Mac Pro running High Sierra (with all updates on it), 64Gb of memory 4T of hard drive. The message on the BCA window then changes to ““Please wait while Boot Camp Assistant is removing the partitions it created." and gets stuck there forever, forcing me to close the window.Ĭan anyone let me know the fix to this error if there is one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A pop-out dialog box then prompts me for my admin password, and at the same time behind it the error message “The Windows support software could not be saved to the selected drive. BCA proceeds to download the windows support software, create the partition and tries to save the windows support software (this takes about 5 minutes).ĥ. After I adjust the partition size, I then click “Next”.Ĥ.

I click “Continue” and BCA then locates the Windows 10 iso file saved to my desktop.ģ. I open Boot Camp Assistant and the Introduction screen shows up.Ģ. I’m on Boot Camp Assistant version 6.1.0 and it no longer has the option of creating a bootable USB drive with Windows install.ġ. I think it’s probably the latest macOS that’s the problem, but I’ve searched through other forums and not found any solution that can be used for Mojave. I’m using a 2017 iMac with 3GHz i5 processor, 8GB RAM and 1TB SSD, running on the latest macOS Mojave version 10.14.1.
